With song titles like "Juicy Socks" and "Wasted Nun" and an album called Apocalipstick to boot, L.A.-based band Cherry Glazerr certainly knows how to make a statement with words. But it's the band's instrumentation, which fluctuates between grunge rock and laidback lo-fi, that really sticks with you. This is frontwoman Clementine Creevy's ship. She started off as a solo act called Clembutt but has since brought in a revolving door of bandmates to help bring to life her sad, thought-provoking and creative tunes. Expect the act's Grog Shop performance tonight to include the recent tune "Ohio." (Laura Morrison)
