Cheick Hamala Diabate

Earlier this summer, the Cleveland Museum of Art and Front International announced the schedule for City Stages, CMA's summer concert series that takes place in Ohio City. This year, some shows will still take place outside the Transformer Station in Ohio City on Wednesdays throughout the month of July; but they'll also migrate to other parts of the city. Tonight's concert, for example, takes place at the Mall B. It features Cheick Halama Diabate, a West African musician who plays the ngoni, a stringed lute that's considered to be the predecessor to the banjo. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. (Jeff Niesel)
