This haunting, immersive program explores grief, healing, and the supernatural through music spanning centuries and cultures. Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” sets the stage for works by contemporary Iranian composers Arshia Samsaminia and Hooshyar Khayam, Kareem Roustom’s reimagined Syrian Folk Songs, and Fauré’s lyrical Piano Trio. The evening culminates in George Crumb’s visionary Black Angels, a powerful reflection on war and the modern world. Cash bar open 6:30–7:30 PM and after the concert.
