Come experience a portrayal of Mary McLeod Bethune (in authentic period costume), an African-American educator, founder of Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Education was the first step in her remarkable journey and she believed that education provided the key to racial advancement. She was the first African-American woman to be involved in the White House serving as a Presidential Advisor to four different presidents from 1904 to 1942 and 1946 to 1947.
