Brief Encounter

When the fine folks at Time Out London polled some 101 film industry experts, the consensus was that David Lean's 1945 film Brief Encounter was "the most romantic film of all time." Written by playwright Noel Coward, the film centers on two married Brits who meet at a train station and fall in love. The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque screens a 35mm print of the movie today at 5 p.m. and tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
