Brews and Ballerinas

Once more unto the beer! The monthly Brews & Prose reading series returns to Market Garden tonight. Reading will be Varley O’Connor, a creative writing professor at Kent State (and former actress!) whose latest novel, The Master’s Muse, is all about real-life 20th century ballerinas. Also on the docket is Bruce Weigl, a poet who teaches at Lorain County Community College. Much of his work is derived from his experiences in the U.S. military. The soul of Brews & Prose is fueled by the notion that literary readings are inherently better if you’re drinking throughout. Test out that hypothesis this evening on West 25th.
