Benefit concert for the BAsics Bus Tour. A celebration of music, poetry and more. The Tour recently visited Sanford Fl., where Trayvon Martin was murdered, receiving an enthusiastic response from people demanding justice for Trayvon. The tour involves a new generation of freedom fighters--volunteers nationwide connecting people up with Bob Avakian and his re-envisioning of revolution & communism and the movement for revolution. Over a dozen performers including Al Porter Jr.’s hiphop, Art Blakey II ‘s jazz and R&B, Ras Gatos’ reggae, Sister Seven songs, Solo Poet on African drums, plus! Doors open at 8:00.
