Ben Kenney of Incubus/Ohio Sky/My Life's Burden

Best known for being the badass bassist for Incubus, Ben Kenney is proof that playing bass doesn’t have to mean playing in the shadow of the guitar player. And while Kenney is certainly a phenom with a bass guitar, he’s actually a jack-of-all-trades with instruments, and his solo work is a testament to that. Being a proficient bassist, drummer, singer and guitarist, Kenney writes and records his solo work on his own and has released four albums which sound like Incubus albums if Kenney was the only member in the studio while the rest were home sick. On tour, he brings along bassist Ashley Mendel and drummer Sekou Lumumba, but if and when science and technology are able to make perfect carbon copies of people, expect to see a stage full of Ben Kenneys playing each instrument, Ben Kenney working the soundboard, and perhaps some Ben Kenney dancers as well.
