Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Severance – Celebrating 70 Years of Music

The Suburban Symphony Orchestra invites you to a monumental celebration of music and legacy at Severance Music Center. At the heart of this special 70th-anniversary concert is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, featuring the uplifting and timeless Ode to Joy. With over 200 musicians and singers, including the Western Reserve Chorale and West Shore Chorale, this performance is a powerful testament to the enduring power of music to inspire and unite. The program opens with Sibelius’s Karelia Suite. The centerpiece, however, is Beethoven’s Ninth, a masterpiece of unparalleled emotion and grandeur, conducted by Music Director Domenico Boyagian.
