There's something satisfying about seeing a Scrooge get his comeuppance. Perhaps that's why Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is such a classic. Adapted and directed by Gerald Freedman and staged by Sara Bruner, Great Lakes Theater's adaptation of the play should be at the top of everyone's list for seasonal theater going. Since the local troupe puts the play on every year, it's a true Northeast Ohio tradition. It opens tonight at 7:30 at the Ohio Theatre and tickets are $15 to $70. (Niesel)
