Duct tape has long been said to be the ultimate DIY bandage when it comes to fixing things, but have you ever wondered how it could be used to make a work of art? The Avon Duct Tape Festival kicks off its annual celebration of the sticky substance today at Veteran’s Memorial Park, featuring a collection of duct tape-themed sculptures, fashion accessories, games and live entertainment. Highlighted by the Duct Tape Parade that halts Avon traffic as it makes its way through the city, the event is a real blast. Promoters even encourage festival-goers to break out their favorite tape and don a costume creation of their own.
