All in the Family

The Grand Budapest Hotel, directed by Wes Anderson — the indisputable king of cinema quirk — arrives in theaters later this month. In order to prepare, you’re invited to see one of his four highly stylized films presented by Cleveland Cinemas, all of which help make “Wes-Andersonney” an adjective most of us understand and occasionally use. Tonight, at the Capitol Theatre, see Anderson’s 2001 family drama The Royal Tenenbaums, starring many of Anderson’s favorite ensemble members (Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Bill Murray, etc.) plus a bunch of others, as a dysfunctional family of former prodigies brought together when the patriarch, Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackman), announces he is terminally ill. Tickets are $5 for this 7:30 p.m. screening. (Sam Allard)
