Tonight at 7 in Auditorium MC 136 on Cleveland State’s campus, local author and filmmaker Brendan Whitt will produce a staged reading of his first novella A Summer in Harlem. A three-piece jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Brittany Atterberry will perform; readings will be by poet and local activist D.L. Ware, writer and Cleveland State junior MaryAnn Dowdell and poet and journalist Timothy Cox. Admission is free. (Niesel)
