Yoga is hugely popular in the United States, and part of the credit belongs to India’s Hindu Swami Paramahansa Yogananda. The founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship, he gave lectures that helped make yoga popular here. His book Autobiography of a Yogi was a favorite of the late George Harrison. Awake: The Life of Yogananda documents his influence. It screens at 6:45 tonight at the Cleveland Institute of Cinematheque and then shows again at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $9. (Jeff Niesel)
