A Bad Year for Tomatoes

Myra Marlowe, TV Star, leaves Hollywood to live anonymously in Vermont, write her autobiography and raise tomatoes. When she can't get privacy to write, she creates a psychotic sister character to frighten off the locals but soon finds how complicated maintaining a ruse in a small town can be. An amorous handyman and do-gooder neighbors determined to save "Sister Sadie's" soul combine to complicate life for Myra and her dreams of writing and gardening. This comedy was world-premiered in 1974 by Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick In North Royalton.
