Heights Arts marks National Poetry Month with the presentation of its fifth Haiku Death Match at Dobama Theatre, a "fun"raiser for literary programming that is poetry, theater, talent show, and jousting match rolled into one. Eight of the region's best and bravest writer of the 17-syllable poetic form are pitted against each other for audience votes.
This year's contestants include past champions as well as death match rookies: Dianne Borsenik, Michael Ceraolo, Christine Donofio, Cordelia Eddy, Celeste McCarty, Ray McNiece, Mary Turzillo, and Geoffrey Landis.
