3-D Rarities

The 3-D technology used in most commercial movie theaters today features stunning digital effects. But 3-D films have been around for ages. The first one showed way back in 1915. 3-D Rarities, a special program put together by the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, culls together some of the earliest 3-D movies, including New Dimensions, the first domestic full color 3-D film. The screening takes place tonight at 7 at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $10. (Niesel)
