It's Paris, 1960. Jean-Louis Jouvert lives a staid bourgeois existence with his perfectly-presented socialite wife. But, when the family's maid abandons them, into the residence comes Maria: young, hardworking, and... Spanish! It doesn't take long for the building to become enchanted by the new arrival.
