In 1991, Cameron Todd Willingham's three children died in a Corsicana, Texas house fire. Convicted for arson murder, Willingham was executed in February 2004 despite overwhelming expert criticism of the prosecution's arson evidence. Willingham has become a martyr for anti-death penalty activists and an indisputable "monster" for right-wing politicians.
