For A Good Time, Call...

Forced to share a New York City apartment because they can’t afford to live on their own, Katie (Ari Graynor) and Lauren (Lauren Miller) couldn’t be more different. Katie had a rep as a slut in college, and Lauren is a good girl from Long Island whose parents have always looked out for her. After Lauren loses her gig as a personal assistant, she talks Katie into leaving the phone sex company she works for and starting her own business. Lauren becomes the brains of the operation and handles all the billing, while Katie does the “dirty work.” Like any predictable romantic comedy, the film resorts to a familiar pattern of love, breakup, and reunion. The raunchy dialogue is great; the movie’s boring storyline, not so much
