For They Shall Not Grow Old, director Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) has restored, colorized and transformed grainy, black-and-white footage of the World War I battlefront to allows modern audiences to see and experience what it was like to be there. Designed to mark the centennial of the World War I armistice, the film shows today at 4 and 7 p.m. at area theaters as part of a special nationwide release from Fathom Events.
