DESCRIPTION:A new art exhibit that opens today at Sixty Bowls Gallery\, Marred for Life! presents over 250 record covers\, "lovingly and mischievously vandalized" by anonymous music lovers. The LP covers come courtesy of Greg Wooten\, a Los Angeles-based collector\, musician and design purveyor. Wooten and his community of record-collector friends have discovered these in used record bins over the course of several years. Wooten's collection of defaced album covers has swelled to over 5\,000 pieces since the book about the collection\, Marred for LIFE!\, was published by J+L Books in 2019. He has shown pieces from his collection at exhibitions in New York City\, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Wooten\, a native Clevelander\, will return to town for tonight's opening\, which takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will also feature a book signing with copies available for purchase.
