DESCRIPTION:Dr. Donald Driscoll\, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the Ashtabula campus of Kent State University\, will present a lecture titled "Seven Ideas: A Survey of the Great Ideas in Science." This lecture will put each of these ideas into its historical context\, explain how it came about\, and assess each idea's impact on the way we think about time\, space and matter. After the lecture\, the observatory will be open for viewing\, weather permitting. The event is free and open to the public\; however\, tickets are required\, and donations are always appreciated.
